ABOUT WARD SAGAR

Kay Sagar co-founded Ward Sagar Library Consultants and Booksellers in 1985 and within a year was flying solo. With a lifetime love of books, a teaching career and a degree in librarianship, Kay has a wealth of knowledge of all things books.

Kay is thought of highly in the book industry, with publishers, editors, and high-profile authors calling on her services for her advice and opinion on books both published and unpublished. She has recently been awarded an honorary lifetime membership of the Children's Book Council of Australia.

Still working hard at it in the shop in Eltham (despite rumour after rumour that she has retired/sold/given up), Kay and her staff will be able to assist you in any way you need. With a large rep force on the road to hand deliver, she is only one phone call away from assistance.

Kay is able to attend school events as a speaker, or as a library adviser, letting teachers know what is missing from libraries, and talking to parents about the importance of literacy. She can rattle off dozens of must have books, and can often name a title from even the tinest detail. Always expect a truthful and honest opinion of what book would be suited to which age group. She'll even grab you and read aloud the latest book to you with great enthusiam and gusto.

Kay and her team are enthused about promoting reading in young audiences and look forward to being of assistance.
